Into The Late Hours of The Night Just Waiting For Someone

by Unforgiven Retniap doolb   Jan 11, 2006

Excuse me. Will someone tell me,
Who is that over there?,
...Someone please answer me,
God! does anyone care?

Fine I'll go and see,
Young girl whats your name?,
I promise I won't hurt you,
why do you hang you head in shame?

Dear Child,
Why are there tears running down your face?
How come your out this late?
Why are you just waiting in this place?

Where are your parents?,
Do you need a ride?,
Honey I won't force you,
But you don't need to hide.

Oh My God!What happened?,
After I glanced down at her arm,
Sweet child why did you do this?,
Put yourself through even more harm.

Your shirt is covered,
Your bleeding everywhere,
Oh baby please look at me,
Come out of that blank stare.

Baby girl,
Why are you going deep enough to hit a vein?,
How did it come to this?
Who drove you to self inflicted pain?

...I saw a razor blade next to her,
As I picked it up she grabbed my wrist,
I see my arm covered in scars,
From a time when they were crimson kissed,

The young baby finally looks up,
The young innocent child was me,
A flash back for the past
When this was my reality.

*Was a dream I had don't really know what it means...because no one ever came to me that night or any of those nights before when I would sit outside of my school into the late hours of the night waiting to see if someone would remember to come and bring me home...

That was an awesome poem. Such a sad image - but it really had bare flaws :) My favourite lines were

I see my arm covered in scars,
From a time when they were crimson kissed

Such amazing vocabulary to use there. I hope all is ok xXx.
