Our Dance of Lost Trepidation

by EpithetPoet   Jan 11, 2006

The lovers lost the rules of old
And adopted those of which they were told

Hearts were broken and tears were shed
Now bastards are born with infidelity inbred

Time has taken its tole upon our stage
And masked its actors with a far younger age

The beauty of knowledge escapes their brow
And decide to be burdened with ignorant know-how

Our lives have changed for no greater good
But the lives of our children never would

*Think before you have unsafe sex, you're not only affecting your life, but the life you may bring into being
