My Sister

by Kelley Joyce   Jan 12, 2006

My sister is a river: so smooth, and steady, little children and families splashing in the water, men fishing off their decks.
Then going down stream a little farther you hit some rapids, they push you, and sometimes hurt you, this will end quickly, but it will also happen again.
You keep going and you get to a deeper section.
It starts to rain, the tide has gone up, sunken down it's dark and lonely, scared to see the light and can't find the surface.
Eventually the tide will go back down, and light will come back.
