All in a moment

by Kurt   Jan 12, 2006

Your pictures cover my wall
I dont remember a thing at all

I was sitting there next to you
Then everything shifted blue

Cries haunt my dreams
Littered with bloodcurdling screams

I remember diving forward
But not in front of what

I was shot twice in the head
I was supposed to be dead

Slowly i closed my eyes
I let out a lifeless sigh

Two years later i debate
Whether i was a moment too late

Was it my fault she died
Maybe if somehow i tried

I cannot comprehend my loss
I still remember the color of her lip gloss

Cherry was her favorite kind
It still stays in my mind

I miss her embrace
Her lips brushing my face

*Tribute to a young friend...*

Your poetry reminds me of my own. Your combination of words and your style of writing is definitely closely related to mine. Your flow and structure however are totally different. An awesome poem, and I'm off to read some more.

    *sorry I'm late returning favours*
