Wide Awake Memories

Midnight hours, no time for rest
How can I sleep, with this load on my chest?
I pray for the darkness to overtake me into sleep
It would be easier if your memory didn\'t creep, in my mind every five seconds!
I lay here, feeling the chills run up my spine
Because I know that this time, I\'ll never see you again!
All I have is your memory to hold too,
I don\'t think I can on living without you.
I see a piece of you everywhere I look
As much as I talk about you I should write a book.
I thought you were the one for me
But you broke my heart and took a part of me
With You!
Now I lay in the peaceful night
Fighting back tears, I hold my pillow tight!
Even through all the pain, I see your face
Hopefully over time it will gradually erase,
And I\'ll get over you
Or at least the memory I\'ve held on too!
