A Love Story

by Just Another Dreamer   Jan 13, 2006

This is a story of two lovers who have never met
Waiting for life to reveal their identities in this love silhouette
They often write poetry in hopes the other will hear love calling
To join two hearts that long ago began falling

Pen to paper, they meet again
A lover, a mother, a best friend
A protector, a father, the perfect man
Hopes and dreams shared so freely between the two
Promising to love, to cherish and to always be true

Their longing hearts destined to meet
They pray together each night before falling asleep
He asks for God to please send him the one
She asks how long she must wait before he will come

A single rose he places on the pillow next to him each night
She always dreams of rose petals dancing in her mind
When will the look of love reveal his face?
When will he hear the voice he calls Grace?

This is the story of two lovers who have yet to meet
Following the path of destiny
Next year, next month, in the next minute or two
Love could reveal her name to you
Maybe he's standing right in front of you

Love guides you to places unknown
Its purpose is to unite mind, body and soul
It may not lead you to where your focus is aimed
You see, love really doesnâ??t have a face or name
It's revealed at the strangest of times
It's the feeling you get when you can't explain why
When you begin to do things just because
Know that you've been summoned by love

This is the story of lovers who have already met
They just don't realize it yet
He smiles inside whenever she speaks his name
What she doesn't know is that he feels exactly the same

Real love speaks a language all her own
When he calls on you, he's never wrong
So when you hear the whisper of an unfamiliar tone
Be patient, just listen-sometimes love calls only once
