Don't Tell Me

by Nearly but not quite   Jan 14, 2006

Don't tell me that you don't know why.
You'd know if you thought, why I want to die.
You didn't do anything,
But maybe that's the point,
Maybe if you'd given me freedom I would't have used the bars of my cage
as knives and razor blades.

So as the police sit with you and ask you why I might have decided
to end it all in suicide,
Don't tell them you don't know.
You've already told enough lies.

Please comment, I appreciate constructive criticism as well as praise.
