Hedging Bets

by Nearly but not quite   Sep 21, 2007

I really am sorry
I can never decide
Between one man and another
It could drive me to suicide.

So I keep them all going
And have one on the side
Keep their juices all flowing
Until I can decide

I know I don't love them
And they don't love me
So it's a good arrangement
Don't you see?

They can't call it cheating
And I'll never get caught
I'm only a lover
Not a woman to be bought

I wish I could make up my mind
God only knows I've tried
But they all have their good points
I've tried and tried and tried!

There's Michael who is tall
Gentlemanly and sweet
Then Nicholas who's hot
He couldn't call me cheat

There's Jamie who adores me
I tried to let him go
But it's good to be adored
Oh, I miss him so.
