I'm Trying

I'm trying to get up but don't push me,
I've had a hard time this week,
I'm trying to stop crying but don't shout so,
I've had a harder time than you you know.

I'm trying to stop drinking but don't hurt my frame,
The alcohol numbs my pain.
I'm trying to get clean but don't watch me,
Oblivion is sweet when on weed.

I'm trying to stop cutting but don't watch while I change,
For my bruises I will take no blame.
I'm trying but please let me be.
You would want the same if you were me.

Please comment, I appreciate constructive criticism as well as praise.

    I really liked the message your trying to get across here, the hope that you can come out of it all ok in the end, but retaining the need to be independant, not to have people controlling you. I hope that you can find the strength within yourself to overcome your problems. Keep trying, it's all any of us can do.
