Deathbed Confessions

Deathbed Confessions

Laying in bed
Waiting to die
Before I go
Confessions must be told

Loving you deeply
Through all of life
Trying to hold on
Not wanting you to go

Life was a mess
And anger seemed to have its hold
But it was not toward you my love
Life had just taken its toll

You gave me the strength
To live everyday a new
Always making me want
To be the best and improve

Lost in parenting
Afraid that I failed
Wishing to give you more
Than life would allow

I look at you now
A miracle to say
Somehow through the madness
You turned out great
