My Fairy

by Samantha Jayneee   Jan 18, 2006

With our white shaking hands
We clasp the cauldron.
First 3 drops of mine,
Then 3 drops of yours -
For red is the colour of the Devil.
Then we share our tears,
And day by day
Add in the salt so
It smells like the sea.
Next goes our hurt,
Then goes our pain,
Which is drawn through
Our skin, making
Us numb.
In go 2 keys,
The keys to our hearts,
Which are locked up so tight
For we are scared
To let anyone in.
Lastly my broken smile
And your silent scream -
The final ingredients to
Send us away.
I watch the hot red mixture
Run down your back,
Place my cold hands
Between your shoulder blades.
And as we turn to see,
Two pairs of wings appear.
So you take my hand
And together we fly,
Leaving only stone graves
Where our souls once did live.
Looking down from the stars,
Which shine so bright,
Hesitantly we see our
World left behind,
And I whisper,
"My fairy,
Don't leave me again."
