Not the same (photo of you and me)

by Molly Elizabeth   Jan 18, 2006

The photo sits
the photos still
the smiles are fake
the kiss unreal
the hands are held
the hearts are torn...
the pictures lie
there love was sworn.

There love was sworn
it was too soon
they moved too fast
it once was true
complicated
so it couldn't last
they tried to save it...
now only pictures
show a longed for past.

A longed for past
and she can't lie...
he's not the same
he's now a different guy...
He once held her heart
so lovingly...
but he's angry now,
so many crushed dreams.

So many crushed dreams
of him and her
together forever,
yet it ended so soon.
He grew scared,
his eyes blood shot
he can't forget it...
he's changed a lot.

He's changed a lot
she can't bare to see...
whats happening to him...
he's not the man he used to be.
He stands alone now,
screams himself to sleep...
she tries to take away his pain...
for now he can barely breath.

He can barely breath
he no longer tries
he barely lives
his scars he tries to hide.
She looks into his eyes
she knows hes not the same...
she just wishes to go back
to when he spoke her name.

He once spoke her name...
time went by slowly...
time went by with pain...
realizing at once,
he is you
she is me...
Looking at this photo...
trying to get you to see...
what happened to you
is what really kills me.
