Different Struggles with Depression

I am that girl you see in class
The girl who hides behind her books
Who always works in the corner.
They all judge her by her looks.

I'm that girl who sits alone at lunch.
No one will dare sit by me.
I'm trying so hard to be accpeted.
Why can't they see?

I'm that girl who gets teased.
Because of her glasses and braces
She hates when they point and stare
She can't handle their cruel faces.

I'm that girl who comes home.
And blasts her music loud.
Her parents are fighting about her.
She just wants to make them proud.

I'm that girl who made one mistake.
And wound up pregnant at 16.
She was well liked at school.
But at school she didnt want to be seen.

I'm that girl who writes about pain.
She feels every corner has been blocked.
And there is no escape from life.
She softly sobs at night with her door locked.

I'm that girl who's lost hope in her dad.
He drinks and smokes every night.
He will never admit to his problems.
All I can do is pray with all my might.

I'm that girl who lost her mother.
To something she couldn't control.
But soon her mom was getting ill.
The cancer had taken it's toll.

I'm that girl who cuts herself.
She can't deal with her pain.
Her scars run deep inside.
She has nothing to gain.

I'm that girl who couldn't stand the fighting.
Her parents yelling in her face.
Telling her she's not good enough.
She's fallen so far from grace.

I'm that girl who's parent's split up
She knew they had drifted from the start.
Never did she know that her whole life,
would be soon torn apart.

I'm a girl who has her battles.
Fighting her deep depression.
She's trying to fake her smile.
She's trying to make a good impression.
