The Young Women

by Truly in Love   Jan 20, 2006

Who knows how she feels inside
Is she looking out or just trying to hide?

Deep blue eyes shed a tear
Somehow, she's drowning in her own fear

What lies in her world, no one knows
All they see is a little g i r l waiting to grow

Soft, pink face yet her heart is dry
So much ache, there is nothing left to try

She has forgotten where she came from or where she was going
She has forgotten who she loved and who she dreamed of knowing

She's tired of being put down
Just wants to vanish in the mist of this midnight, under her black gown

Disappointment surrounding her each and every day
She feels hope through her hopelessness in every way

The little g i r l everyone sees
Is actually a young women fighting against life's strong breeze
