Maybe

by Damaged Goods oX   Jan 20, 2006

A broken smile that can’t seem to be remembered,
A smothered light that she had to surrender.
A lost girl that can’t find her way,
Just maybe...maybe she’ll be happy some day.

Maybe she will be found by someone who cares,
Or maybe just maybe she will finally work in pairs.
Maybe she won’t lock herself in her room at night,
Maybe someone can help her find that light.

Maybe some one person will tell her its okay,
Maybe it is some what better this way...
Maybe she is better by herself,
Put aside like an old doll on a shelf.

Maybe the fake face she puts on will finally break,
Maybe she will finally be able to feel her hearts last intake.
Maybe she will come back from this cold dark place.
Maybe her scares will heal off her face.

Maybe the light really isn't gone,
Maybe she will be saved after all this long.
Maybe she will be happy for once in her life,
Maybe some special person will make her their wife.

Or maybe all of that is just a dream,
That’s been made up to make her life better then it may seem.
Maybe she can’t be saved from her frail fragile life,
Maybe she can’t be made a gorgeous bride or wife.

Maybe she can’t take off the fake face that she always is to hold,
Maybe she can’t do better then what she is told.
Maybe she can not be lost in the world where she wonders,
Maybe she is better off trying to figure out her ponders.

Maybe her life is gone and never even existed,
Maybe her very being isn't even listed.
Maybe she can’t be found cause she has been gone for so long,
Maybe she can’t be saved from a world so cold dark and wrong.
