Do You Understand?

Do you understand how people say they are your friend, but when you get scared they aren't there to help you out?

Do you understand how people say they love you, but when it comes time to prove it they can't remember your name?

Do you understand how people can look you in the face and lie, but when it comes time to lie behind your back they tell the truth?

Do you understand how people can say they were wrong, but when you turn around, they shake their head and walk away?

Do you understand how people can look at someone and decide to kill them, but can't even catch a mouse?

Do you understand how people can look at you and say that they will help you, but turn around and try to hurt you?

Do you understand how people can see you hurt, but when they get the chance to help you they blow you off?

Do you understand how people can look at something they did, and be proud of how they hurt everyone else?

Do you understand that the person I am talking about can be the person sitting right beside you.
