Identity War

by Saved By Grace   Jan 22, 2006

"Did you ever live those days,
When you'd forgotten who you were?
Did you ever wake up in the night,
Screaming for a cure?
When all you'd want to do
Is compel the anguish to go away
The agony and torture
That receded everyday
As you stare into the severed mirror,
Doubtful of who you are
Crying out to noone,
You've pushed yourself so far
So distant from the ones you love,
Who are trying their best to relieve
Denying yourself a joyous life,
You aspire so hard to believe
Then one day a concept transpires in your head
"What am I doing? My life is so misled."
The drug consumption's ceased,
No longer sleeping around
He came into your life so quick,
But the message was so loud
You must not live your life this way,
You are destined for so much more
Remember this message, beware of that life,
Do not fight in that war."
