Preach Your Sin Of Ultimate Ignorance

by EpithetPoet   Jan 23, 2006

You're a brilliant martyr
A famed fire starter
A memory left in shame

You preach your convictions
With no sense of perfection
And are dying without a name

Read your book to a pestilent crowd
Clawing their way to the bleeding ground
More flesh ridiculed in lies

Your pockets lined with tears and hope
Where cleansing runs deeper than soap
While the world around you dies

You're a liar, you're a cheat
It's not divinity you'll meet
Whats worse is you believe it

It's weakness you cling onto
Not apotheosis you belong to
Your world is not perfect

Your words are true, and you speak from the heart. I admire this.
