Losing you

by Amanda   Jan 23, 2006

We used to be so close,
nothing could rip us apart,
but now you just ignore me,
and it's breaking my heart,

You were like a mum to me,
something I'd never had,
then he comes along,
acting like he's my dad,

How could you let this happen,
let him back into our life,
Now I'm feeling awkward,
because you are his wife,

I know you are only friends,
He is playing on this you know,
He's here because he's sick,
and has nowhere else to go,

He buys me all these presents,
and compliments me too,
Saying stupid stuff to me,
but not in front of you,

When he's mad he rings my sister,
and tells her to come down here,
He knows that she will beat me,
he knows I'm frightened and in fear,

I can't wait until he's better,
so that we can make amends,
but when he's gone I'm saying,
we will just be friends.
