Hurting My Friend

by DeepSoul   Jan 23, 2006

I see you hurt her everyday.
The pills, razors, and tears.
I cry so hard knowing, there's nothing I can do,
when you tell her to drink a few beers.

Life was so simple when you weren't around,
we laughed and were so happy.
Playing games, and staying up late,
crying during movies, chick flicks that were sappy.

Both our lives changed the day you came.
And took over her life, leaving heartache and pain.
She was like a sister to me, but now a stranger.
You're hurting yourself, and what will you gain?

You can definitely see the strength of your friendship in this poem, sad but well-written!
