You Ruined It.

by DeepSoul   Jul 11, 2009

The anger of all I feel inside
is because of you and your deeds.
I try to forgive and move on with my life,
and supply my own wants and needs.

But something deep keeps tugging at me,
like a string hooked to an old yo-yo.
Every time I get farther, it pulls me back.
hindering today and tomorrow.

It's not that I still love you,
or wish you would return,
but that I have so many thoughts,
so many letters to burn.

I want to ask why you destroyed
everything we had together.
Why you had to go and break your vows
and make love with another.

You lost the best thing that you will ever have,
you pushed me away, your obsession to hide,
you'll regret the day you looked at those photos,
and all those times you lied.

Pornography took over your life,
it became your thoughts, your obsession.
I wasn't enough, I was no competition.
it's too late for your confession.

The day you looked,
was the day you pushed me away.
The day I left,
was the day you lost.
The day you lied,
was the day I cried for hours.
The day your world crashed before your eyes,
was the day my new life began... without you.
