Cherrished Freedom

by Wishing4perfect   Jan 24, 2006

When pain and glory become misfortune,
the day fades in shades of gray
and daylight shines upon you
but there's a constant shadow among you.
between hope and fear
you feel there is nothing left to do
and time is your only way out
but you might be too far gone
put as an outcast
alone and a burden to yourself
tears flow like clockwork
seconds from shutting out life
and left with your distant mind
keeping you connected with love
the little bit shown,
the more cherrished it has become
but doors are closing all over
and an abandoned heart
is held by a string.
far from feeling anything at all
and hoping for the best
and the results of freedom in heaven.
