Hollow

by Caitlin   Jan 24, 2006

The mirror captures hidden despair,
A broken soul beyond repair.
Another day filled with lies,
Radiating happiness through tear filled eyes.
The internal struggle of trying persuade,
Myself that there’s hope in the daily charade.
Another day, another betrayal,
Words that leave a bloody trail.
Beneath the skin lays a heart that’s broken,
And yet the truth remains unspoken
At the end of the day away I cast,
And face the decay hidden by the mask.

*I would really appreciate any feedback or possible improvements thanks*
