Back When

by elise   Jan 26, 2006

Back when I knew my place,
and life was much too fun,
I wish that I knew where I stand,
for confidence I have none.

I used to be admirable,
in my own and lonely eyes,
but now I'm just a fool,
who seems to not get lies.

I can't understand why people leave,
and then I can't remember,
but everytime I see them fly,
swirling snow of december.

I run, and run, and jump until,
the pain I feel is gone,
but help me, person, help me shine,
I can't sing much a song.

I live to learn and learn to live,
and now I can't recall,
don't make fun of my comments, dear enemy,
for I don't exist at all.
