I saw you

by Lostraindrops   Jan 27, 2006

So I saw you today.
I didn't think I would.
I sat there in the dark coldness as the sun slowly rose into the dark sky,
Signs of me seeing you today came at me.
I looked around,
Hoping it wouldn't happen.
Killing off time,
Wondering the isolated halls.
Not thinking.
Turning the corner.
There you stood.
Looking right at me.
I didn't know what to do.
I felt as if I just wanted to back away and run away from you.
I couldn't escape.
There we stood.
Our conversation didn't even last a minute or two,
You walked away without saying anything.
Leaving me all alone there in the dark hall.
I wondered exactly what happened to you.
Who are you?
You're killing me inside.
Don't you see?
You used to tell my feelings
Just by how fast my reactions where to yours
I stood and wondered.
Who are you?
Where is the real one of you?
The one who always knew what to say,
You say you're the same.
If you were, you wouldn't have done that.
Conversations drift on as the days go on.
It was nice to see you today
In a way.
Though I hate to say
I hated it.
I didn't want to see you,
Though I did.
I was happy for a moment that I did.
Though after you left,
I thought to myself ,
It shouldn't have happened.
All it caused was pain to me,
knowing what was happening to us.
Can you understand?
I'm dying from this all
You're my oxygen and
I'm slowly running out.
