I wish you well to the new year.

by Lostraindrops   Jan 1, 2006

The new year starts new things.
New people,
New friends,
New laughs,
New jokes,
New heart breaks,
New cries,
New joy to our hearts,
and new memories.
What will bring the new year?
Will there be more pain?
Will there be more suffering?
Will there be more lament?

Every year something new happens
Whether it be good or bad.

Time to stick behind the old stuff,
and begin a new year.
We put each other threw a lot of hard things,
managed to get by it together.
You pushed me up high,
You got me to see what else was out there other than what I was seeing,
With you I saw a whole new world.
You guided me threw everything last year,
I don't know how I could thank you.

Has harsh as it sounds,
my thanks to you this year.
Is to leave the nest.
I no longer need you now,
you put me threw pain and happiness.
I don't need that anymore.
Time to fly from the nest.
I'll be alright,
I can fly now.
I am ready to survive on my own.

I thank you dear friend,
you fed and took care of me.
Dear friend, time to say goodbye now.
This will be the last of my words to you.
Thank you for everything.
You helped me so much.
I hope you survive well in the ups and downs without me.
Goodbye dear friend.
