My Baby Boy

by Extinct Angel   Jan 30, 2006

Dear son,

I know your only 3 months old
But you'll have to understand.
Daddy is working hard for you.
He's pulling the wagon through and through.
I know I don't see you that often
Between working and school.
The worst part is I can't have
You ever again. The made me
Give you to Grandma and grandpa.
This would Have happened if mommy
Hadn't died when she was giving
Birth to you. You would have liked her.
I miss her a lot. No one seems to grasp
I've sacrificed all that I've had for you.
Look I'm sorry I can't be a Daddy.
I'm not a good father to you.
I'm only there at night when
I try to put you to bed
I lay down with you
Making sure you go to sleep
I get to see you sleep for 6 hours
Then its back to work and school
I want you to understand Son
I'm never around cause
I love you more than anyone.
I'm trying to provide for you
So please as you grow up know
That your Daddy always Loves You!
You need to stand tall
And face the coming day
You need to find Joy
Where only darkness is seen
This is the advice I have for you
So My Baby boy
Daddy's here let's wipe the tears
Daddy loves you
I'm doing the best I can
Daddy misses you so much
I regret the time we don't have
I cherish the time we do have
I don't regret working for you
You're my world
Your why Daddy's still here
