Reminiscing by senses

by Flying Phoenix   Jan 30, 2006

Feel the memories drifting through
As you read that book once again
Where you first read it
Amongst friends in the park
Then later on
Alone in the dark
These times come flooding back to you

Smell the perfume from years gone by
Stirring up days of life
Of old times, but don't cry

Eat a rare food
First tasted back then
With your first young love
Laughing together again

Look in your cupboards
And wear some crumpled clothes
That shared many parties
Saw many days
they make you smile with recollection you know

Visit a restaurant
A town, a stream,
That so distant memories
Come back like dreams

Relax at the thought
Of times long gone
Thoughts and memories
Will still live on
If not permenantly in your head
Those things, your senses
Will remind you instead
