Good-bye

I thought i was over you
that i dint give a care
and i didn't want to,
but i guess life isn't fair

i saw you today
and my heart skipped a beat
although i love you is what i wanted to say
i kept quiet in retreat

i just watched in the distance
hoping you would go away
butt my emotions were persistent
and knew you were to stay

confused and dazed
for why my emotions felt like this
i just stood there and gazed
longing for your kiss

but i know deep down inside
that you hurt me to deep
you were the biggest lie
and no longer mine to keep

my gaze finally dropped
and ended on the floor
knowing this is where it all stops
and i am no longer yours

i slowly turned to go
and felt tears weld in my eyes
i took my first step away from you knowing
the hardest thing is telling you good-bye.
