Life is Grand

by Bill Turner   Feb 1, 2006

Explosion of purple, orange and yellow
Mountains bathed in your light
Creeping through my window
Today is going to be all right

Traffic creeping along, barely moving
Watching you peek over the ridge
Music cranked today...grooving
Oh well, left my lunch in the fridge

Nothing will bother me today
Watching your glorious light
I realize everything is okay
Brilliant white rays of sunlight

The rain has run away
Replaced with a reminder
Make someone smile today
Do not go through life wearing a blinder

Today the sun taught me about life
Shining down upon us all
No need for worry or strife
Grand scheme we are all very small

I cannot wait for the sunset
As black envelopes the land
I'll watch, you bet!
Reminded today life is grand
