Tear Stains

by Michael   Feb 3, 2006

When light glimmers
through stained glass windows
of black and white
like my eyes
they blur my vision
but truth can't hide the fact that
he's gone.
Why did he leave
wonders my lonely spirit
when shadows creep through corners
in an endless abyss of tears.
Days come and go
like cars on speeding roads
they seem eternal
somewhat similar like the river of depression.
So now I wait
to advance to the end
when I can become a god
my power of flowing words of poetry-

...REVERSE...

-My power of flowing words of poetry
when I can become a god
to advance to the end
so now I wait.
Somewhat similar like the river of depression
they seem eternal
like cars on speeding roads
days come and go.
In an endless abyss of tears
when shadows creep through corners
wonders my lonely spirit
why did he leave.
But truth can't hide the fact that he's gone
they blur my vision
of black and white
like my eyes
through stained glass windows
when light glimmers.

I love how it can be reversed and still make complete sense! This is a really sad poem and funnily enough i get more of a sense of loneliness from this one, but maybe thats just me.
