Black Book

by Phoebe   Feb 3, 2006

Sometimes I wonder if I'm visible to you,
The whole day rushes by in a flood, confusion of people
Yet you stand and not say a word
But I guess there's nothing left to say
Its written in your little black book.
How do I know about the book, you ask
For you see I have one too,
You're always saying how much I'm like you
But I'm not making your mistakes.
How can you tell me to stop doing what my heart wants,
If you know how I feel inside?
How can you tell me to move on and get a grip
After all the tears I've cried?
Peering in your book of black, blood pours from the pages
You're pouring your whole heart into the writing,
Poems of hate and love, misunderstanding,
Filled it with all the passion in your mind.
What is it you're looking for in this world?
Someone to love you, protect you, and keep you safe?
You just shake your head in confusion
And cast the book aside
Look up to the face in the mirror
Neither of us is me anymore,
My life was gone, wasted
Into the little black book of my life.

I really can't write anymore ><
