Failed Tries Of The Not So Innocent

by SmileeItsBritt   Feb 4, 2006

You could cry me up a river
Then try to [[drown]] me in your lies
You can try to pierce me with your words
Or attempt to shoot me with your eyes
You can try to drag me down
To maybe lessen up your pain
You can act in this play of innocence
Indulge in your 60 seconds of fame
You can try to make up stories
That will tear my heart in two
But your accusations just don't cut it
For the one to blame is you
Your heart is like a dagger
Made of steel, and oh so cold
It's headed toward me at a rapid pace
But I'll stab you back with the lies you told
So when you're all alone in life
With no one to call a friend
Remember me and the lies you told
And know it was your choice in the end

I can't believe this poem has no comments.
It was beautiful and so true.
I loved it, I loved reading it.
    The rythming was well.
    The flow great.
And just the truth of it struck home.
    Perfectly Penned.
    Well done. 5/5
