Shadows

by Bilquis   Feb 4, 2006

Shadows rushing without sound
I've come to lose all that I found
In front of endless empty space
I recognized my destiny's face
Lined and wrinkled as it reveals
By all the wounds which never heals
The little edges in my life
Left me with scuffs yet made me wise
As the old oak which still stands by
From fall to fall grow thick and wide
Despite the storms, despite the snow
My roots stayed strong and made me grow
No darkness can obscure the light
The bright burning spark I carry inside
And when the shadows have passed by
I'll find again sense to my life
