For You Grandpa

by Shan   Feb 6, 2006

This was a poem I wrote for my grandpa when he died. It was read at his funeral. RIP Grandpa!! Anyways, here it is!!

We're going to miss your complaining.
We're going to miss your drive,
Your memories remaining,
Your soul's still alive.

We know you loved tractors,
We know you loved piggies.
Those were both factors,
Those were both biggies.

You hated big mouths,
But you had one of your own.
You hated all the kids shouts,
And yet you always raised your tone.

You led us up a long road,
And showed us the way.
Your thoughts always showed,
All night and all day.

We're going to miss everything about you,
Every complaint, Every yell.
We don't know how we'll get through,
Time will eventually tell.
