Regrets of a Failure

by Sondos   Feb 6, 2006

Bring me the sweat of the pacifist
Wrapped in a web of thorns
Tears of the unheard baby child
And my bitter taste of scorn

Take to me, on a silver plate
The rapist's sordid snicker
And bring me also to my side
The intoxicating smell of liquor

Whilst you serve me caviar
And sweeten my champagne
Feed me the tales of murderers
The innocent blood they stain

You see although you do not tell me
I know they all are there
I feel their eyes pierce through my skin
I loathe their wary stare

My heart was carved of stone, not gold
To greed and wealth my feelings sold
