Silently Breaking

My tears so silent
And always hidden
My heart cries out
As the water streams down
My soft stained cheeks
The pain so intense
The feelings so real
Wiping away the evidence
Hiding away the pain

I walk back into the world
Laughing so loudly
Smiling for show
The tears left unshed
My sorrows kept quiet
Joking for my friends
Laughing for my family
Smiling for the world
Crying on the inside
Tears hidden underneath

To strong to seek help
To alone to be noticed
To insignificant to be remembered
You'll never know how I felt
The eternal pain I could never rid
How many tears I left unshed

Above it all
You thought I was strong
I tried to prove you right
But now you know
I proved you wrong
I could never be what you want

So now I'm dead
Don't shed any tears
The pain you never knew
Is finally gone
I won't be in heaven
I'll let you know that now
But at least I'm no longer trapped
In my very own living hell

Losing me is not a loss
But the only gift I can give
So please take it
Cherish it with all your heart
It's the best I can do
To stop the pain from tearing you apart
