Boyfriend

by Josh Barrett   Feb 9, 2006

You go through the boyfriend cycle, it makes me depressed, very.

I whimper through the night,
until I wake to the morning light.
To see your face soon again,
holding him tight,
until the dusked grim.

I hold in my weak tears,
only feeling sorry for you, not me.

I cant believe you guess I like everyone but the only one, you.

Of course,
you say he is so special,
but only to come find out,
he doesn't like you,
you like him, i like you, and then,
of course, the other,
the other boy,
the one who tries to grip onto you when the boyfriend is gone,
knocking me out of the picture, into empty space.

He flirts, in a weird way,
yet, I pay no attention,
because once again,
our love is fading away!

Heya. great poem, one teeny thing. try to layout your poem rather than in a paragraph as it makes it easier read. for instance:

    I whimper through the night,
until I wake to the morning light.
To see your face soon again,
    holding him tight,
    until the dusked grim.
