Pain I Feel Inside

I would like to tell you that I know how you feel - but I can't because I only know the pain I feel inside

To say that things will get better probably won't help - all I can promise is that I'll be by your side

If only I could wipe the tears from your eyes - but I can't because mine are overflowing too

It's impossible to erase all the evil in your world - all I can promise is that I'll fight it with you

*This is a short verse that I wrote to go inside a sympathy card for my Mother after her Dad - my Grandad - died this week.
