My Children

I let them flourish, I let them grow
But God the thought it scares me so

To see them making choices tough
I feel to love is not enough

I want to keep them close by me
This evil world them not to see

But let them go I know I must
In what I've taught them I must trust

Be there for them if help they need
Whilst they are trying to succeed

I've tried my best to guide them true
It's now their time, I am not blue

In them I trust, I will not shroud
Of them I am so very proud
