The Way You Make Me Feel

by ◦¤◦ĐėäđĽŸ●ΜëŁőďŷ◦¤◦   Feb 12, 2006

I'll never forget that distinctive day when you and I first met,
When I first laid my eyes on you, you seemed a deadly threat.
Your eyes burned with a passion, not that of love or affection;
A stare that yearned for safety, and longed for perfection.
A "broken doll" they called you, and that you did believe;
Love was unachievable and impossible to conceive.
You felt your heart was cold as ice-- your soul: empty and dead.
Do all these lies taste bittersweet? These lies you are being fed?
You think you are revolting, for it's what everyone says is true...
But I must disagree with them, for I find much beauty in you.
Your gracious smile, your enchanting laugh; both so very rare--
The way that sadness consumes your life seems so terribly unfair!
The way your eyes light up when someone's calling out your name...
I get this uncommon feeling, but I love you just the same;
For there's something about you, either in mind or in soul,
A majestic kind of magic that I need to feel whole.
This magic always fills my heart whenever you walk in my direction...
This magic has become a gift, but also an infection...
And I know it's been injected by your fiery, passionate kiss--
The one that sends me into love's spiritual abyss.
And I hope you know I love you more than me, myself, and I--
And I hope you understand that it's a feeling I can't deny.
