The Love Game

by Josh Barrett   Feb 13, 2006

I know you now,
you play with me,
everytime they leave you,
now I see.

You come back to me,
and steal my heart,
I cant believe I let you,
from the start.

You ripped it to shreds in the end,
left me until it was time again,
to play the game,
while my heart I mend.

But I took you back,
like a fool,
I played the game,
there being only one rule.

That you would be happy,
and leave me sad,
another crushed heart,
and once again me mad.

So the next time I made the rule,
I would crush you,
but one thing,
you didn't know what I'd do.

I waited for a little while,
and reflected my pain on yours,
only to open,
those you could open, the doors.

And I realized I was you,
doing the same,
so I just quit it,
the love game.
