When I Am Alone

by Matt Fleckney   Feb 15, 2006

When I am all alone
I can feel
the weight of the world upon me
and it all comes crashing down.

I sit and start to think
"Why am I here?"
"Why am I alone?"
"Who exactly am I?"

But when all is said and done,
I am never more
at peace with myself
than when I am alone.

I have a poem where I am asking myself these questions...everyone wants to know...but it's not something we should dwell on. Nice write...I love how you ended it being at peace with yourself...
