Missing charm.

Standing by your death bed,
knowing this is the end.
tears flowing down my face,
i lost my best friend.
staying with you through the night,
our hands linked as one,
i laid on your slow beating chest,
knowing your journey to heaven has begun.
i face you with my tear streaked face,
as you slowly opened your eyes,
giving me a weak smile,
we exchanged our final goodbyes.
you handed me an envelope,
and said "open it when I'm gone"
slowly your eyes begin to close,
our hand grip starts to weaken.
i called in the doctors,
as your heartbeat stopped without motion.
the doctors rushed in the room,
and told me to stand aside.
carrying him out of the room,
i did nothing but cried.
i opened up the envelope,
and took out the note,
out fell a charm bracelet,
and this is what he wrote:

the bracelet has a missing charm,
but thats for you to complete,
the last remaining charm is around your neck,
the pendents of two feets.
its to remind you,
of the times we shared together,
whether near or far,
best friends; we will be forever.

*this one means alot to me, i was lucky enough to spend time with my coolest friend, right till the last second i
