Give the Girl a Sword

by The Phoenix Never Dies   Feb 19, 2006

Don't go pissing that girl off.
She takes karate.
And she's a black belt.
Yeah, that's what I said.

Boys come tackle her out of the blue.
Just to satisfy their own curiousity.
And she isn't afraid.
She fights back.

Touch me again, she says.
And I'll break you.
No one thinks she's kidding.
But I know the truth.

Only bows down to her master.
Who hands her that katana.
Give the girl a sword, he laughs.
And she's invincible.

But every day she looks foward.
To walking down that one hall.
Because of him.
The boy who isn't afraid of her.

I know what you're thinking.
She's a scary one, she is.
Maybe it's true.
Listen to the story and see.

That boy isn't afraid of her.
Because he isn't afraid of anything.
He once took a sword,
And faced her head on.

She lost. On purpose?
No, I think not. But... what if?
Her mind was screaming at her.
Her body and heart just froze.

Give the girl a sword.
And she's invincible.
Give her a pretty face.
And she'll go down willingly.
