Stranger

by The Phoenix Never Dies   Dec 16, 2005

We used to laugh together,
you and I.
We used to dance together,
you and I.
You used to tell me my songs are pretty,
But now you\'re afraid.
Of what the others will say.
They\'d say, \"That boy...\"
\"...that boy is gay.\"
\"...that boy is queer.\"
You used to not care.
Now you hide in the shadows,
while you\'re strange twin comes out.
Once I caught a glimpse,
but before I have time to shout
for you to come out.
You back into the shadows and rain,
returning to your hiding place,
never to return again.
