As I'm walking along the riverside
and the tears fall from my face
a lady walks beside me
and i know she's the angel of grace

she wipes my tears
and Say's too me "dear darling why are you crying"
as i go to open my mouth too speak
she says " Oh dear, i see your heart is drying"

The angel walked on
but not one minute before she said
" i know your in love with him,
but don't ever forget, your love will never be dead"

"god bless your soul,
return to the one you love,
because HE is the angel,
god missing from heaven above"

not only, did that angel come too me
Ive been blessed with two
you may not realize it now
but babe, the other one is you

deep inside my heart

even at times when you think i don't

and when you ask me if ill leave you
