All It Would Have Taken

by Heather   Feb 20, 2006

She's sitting quitely in the corner
Watching, waiting, and wishing,
That just for once, someone might Notice,
Notice that's she's sitting all alone....

She walks down the hall,
Surrounded by a crowd of people,
Completely lost in a sea of faces,
Yet no one knows she exsists....

She pretends that everthing's okay,
But every times she looks in the mirror,
She can't help but wish that,
Some how, some way,
She was somebody else.....

Ignored, shunned, and rejected,
Lost, alone and neglected,
She has given up
Her dreams of being accepted
For who she is.......

Drowning in her silent pain,
She cries out, but no one listens
Or, they just decide they don't care.....

Tired of living a lie,
Sick of having to hide,
Wanting it all to be over,
She slowly pulled the trigger....

The air echoed in the silence......

All it would have taken was someone,
Someone to tell her, she wasn't alone.
It didn't have to end this way,
All she needed was a friend......
