Secret life

by within a broken heart   Feb 22, 2006

Nobody knows why his holding back
his friends wonders but they don't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Wearing the same jeans he wore yesterday
he hides the bruises with the linen and boots
Bearing the burden of a secret world
he cries in the middle of the night
his family hears but they turn up the TV
he some time wishes he was never born
he stands lonely in a world
that he can't get though
A weak soul caught in the hands of fate
but when morning comes it will be too late
A statue stands in a sheltered place
a boy with an sadden face
His name carved in a rounded stone
a heart that was never loved
