Once Again

by Shelly   Feb 23, 2006

The thing I cherish most,
Is You.
As if I were married to you,
You'll be there for me,
Through sickness and in health.
You created my life,
And you'll be there at my death.
Tonight I open up to you,
And tell you that I love you,
And that I'm not afraid of death,
If it means seeing you at last.
Hold my hand through all the times,
And say it'll be okay.
Make me smile,
Open my eyes to it all,
And then let me go,
To walk on my own.
Stay close by.
I just may fall.
I need you there,
To catch me.
Brush away the scraps,
And help me up once more.
I need you here,
With me,
To walk me home,
Once again.
